The Hawks and the Sparrows

1966 comedy

Rating: 16/20

Plot: A father and son wander aimlessly and befriend a storytelling crow or storytelling raven.

This is likely the best movie I've ever started watching in the waiting room at a Walmart while waiting to have my oil changed. It's not a long list of movies though.

I'm no ornithologist and can't tell the difference between a raven or a crow, but this movie's got either a talking raven or a talking crow which makes it my kind of movie. This is like a Bunuel movie if Bunuel felt like getting just a little bit wackier. Pasolini pokes fun at religion, amongst other things, and the satire is delightful.
