1987 vampire movie

Plot: Some vampire junk.
Despite the vampires, this was one of the 1987 movies I was most excited to see. The modern Western mixed with vampire horror was intriguing. After an early scene where Jenny Wright eats an ice cream cone had my hopes up, but the infantile dialogue and devolution into a dumb 80's action movie ruined this one. A Tangerine Dream score and Bill Paxton's nutso performance couldn't save things.
I don't believe I've ever seen a Kathryn Bigelow movie that I really liked.
