Plot: A guy and his drug dealer get mixed up in stuff, and it isn't nearly as funny as it should be.
This would have worked with a much better script and much better acting. It loses a point for forced sentimentality near the end and loses the rest of its points for being too one-note and for making me roll my eyes forty-three too many times. There are moments, but you have to wade through some real garbage to find them.

There were some decent reviews for this movie... by idiots. Maybe they were just stoned when they watched it. There were occasional funny moments (like the cell phone paranoia and the stoner fight) overwhelmed by a stupid and unbelievable plot. I have never seen a film go so over the top as the ending of "Pineapple Express". A 9.
The movie is a lot like a little boy who is trying to learn how to use the potty but is easily confused and can't help just whipping it out whenever he feels like it and urinating all over the place. Not as many people would laugh at that though.
That's the weirdest metaphor I have ever read. I am now going to rid my mind of little boys whipping things out.
