I was totally excited about cosplaying as characters in this movie at the next Geek Convention here in Indianapolis. I hope I'm using that verb correctly. No, none of us really liked this movie all that much, but if all I need is a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt to nail an awesome character, it's hard to resist. This movie's almost entertaining as a good-bad movie. I mean, there is a Manbeast. There's also a green guy, apparently named The Greenman. John Saxon hams it up admirably as the main bad guy, and Kay Lentz does her best Kate Capshaw impression as our heroine. Studly Richard Hatch dons that flannel to play Dan Roebuck, hero extraordinaire. The whole thing has a very made-up-as-we-go feel and is never really as fun as it should be. There's a little fellow named Malachi because lost universes always have to have little fellows. He was played by Peter O'Farrell who was also in one of the Harry Potter movies and Legend. He also played Toulouse-Latrec in a documentary. Yeah, I don't know either.
