Plot: A kid gets a job.
Unexpectedly quirky, Il Posto is the perfect example of a movie that takes a little situation and transforms it into something monumental. Ermanno Olmi isn't exactly flashy with this slice-of-life tale and these grounded characters, but there's something nearly virtuosic about the way it moves with these characters in their everyday plight. It almost dances even when the weight of the characters' situations don't seem worthy of dancing about.
